Weathered Door

Front doors. They are challenging and exiting projects. It is said that the first impression is the most important when you meet with someone. I think most of the time it is also true when you look at someone’s front door. It greets you,it invites you and tells a little bit about the people who live inside. I designed this weathered look for a client who is adventurous ,creative and dares to be bold. The process to create this finish involved a lots of scraping,sanding, overglazing and  at the end it became the homeowner’s  statement. Dramatic use of strong contrast in colors can create timeless qualities.
